The students from different schools gathered together with an aim to quicken new life to the festival, and encourage their peers to freely present their creative ideas. Formed a year ago, the collective looks forward to this appearance.

For the competition finals Kaf Kaf presents Donata Januškevičiūtė’s Broken Train.

Pianist Donata Januškevičiūtė has graduated from the M. K. Čiurlionis National School of Arts. Currently, she is a second-year student at the LAMT. She has participated in various master classes, camps and jam sessions, as a pianist and singer appeared in jazz, soul and pop music projects in Lithuania and Germany. She also composes.

In 2009–2011, the pianist played and sang in her group Synchro mates, as a member of group formed in AGATA camp took part in “Sea Fest” in Klaipėda. Donata has earned recognition in national piano competitions.

Saxophonist Donatas Petreikis has graduated from J. Tallat–Kelpša Conservatory. He took part in a number of festivals in Lithuania including “Tai – aš” (“It’s Me”), Thomas Mann, “Senamiesčio žiogas” (“Old Town Grasshopper”), “Sostinės dienos” (“Capital Days”), “Tebūnie naktis” (“Let It Be Night”), “Vilnius live”, and “Wilno w Gdansk” (“Vilnius in Gdansk”). The musician works with group Saulės broliai (Sun Brothers), where he also plays guitar and sings.

Trumpeter Kristijonas Doveika has graduated from the M. K. Čiurlionis National School of Arts. Currently, he studies at the LAMT. He regularly takes part in master classes, performs with various international formations. In 2010, as a member of the LAMT Big Band he appeared in Birštonas Jazz Festival.

Bassist Dovydas Mindaugas Buidovas studies pop music at the Vilnius College of Higher Education. He has participated in various jazz, funk, soul and R&B projects; has been a member of funk group Time’s In. The bassist is a winner of International Competition Sąskambiai 2011.

Drummer Rasa Vaštakaitė studied at the S. Šimkus Conservatory in Klaipėda, as well as with percussionist A. Joffė. Rasa is taking active part in musical life of Vilnius city, has repeatedly appeared in the finals of the Vilnius Jazz Young Power. In 2012, with Simona Smirnova’s Quartet the drummer appeared in jazz festival in France.
